Surveillance
Dr Pinto and the vocational
training scheme doctor: for children aged six weeks - eight months
and three years by appointment on Thursday mornings from 10.40am.
Please book four - six
weeks in advance. In addition the health visitor performs a developmental
assessment in the home when your child is 18 months old.
Inoculations
For Babies
Dr Bard: Wednesdays 11.30am
to 12.15pm. Usually you will be sent for by computer, but you can
make your own appointments too.
We give Diphtheria, Tetanus,
Polio, HIB and Whooping Cough at two, three and four months. MMR (Measles,
Mumps and Rubella) at 12 - 15 months, and pre-school booster at four
years.
Other
Inoculations
For 15 year olds the practice
nurse can give Tetanus, Polio and Diphtheria. All other inoculations
except BCG are available by pre-arrangement with the practice nurse.
Travel
Vaccinations
These are available from
the practice nurse. The practice is a Yellow Fever Centre. Charges
are incurred as this is a non-NHS
service.
Contraception
We feel that patients generally
prefer to choose their time and doctor, so there is no special clinic.
